Meet Michael
Michael Booker, a proud resident of Midland for the past 32 years, has dedicated much of his life to serving his community and youth. After completing high school, Michael enlisted in the United States Marine Corps, where he dedicated six years of his life.
Currently, Michael works as the Senior Procurement Manager at Flex Flow, a position he has excelled in for the last seven years. In addition to his professional responsibilities, he serves on the Teen Court Board, where he guides young people in making positive choices for their futures. Combining his passion for youth and sports, Michael has also spent the last 16 years as a football referee, officiating games for Midland’s youth and high school levels.
As a trustee on the Midland ISD School Board, Michael has been a steadfast advocate for improving the quality of education across the district. His experience as both a parent of MISD students and a community leader gives him a unique perspective on the challenges facing Midland schools. Michael is proud of the progress the district has made during his tenure, however, there is still work to be done to better Midland ISD for all students.
Together, he and his wife, Austin, have four boys. The Booker family is deeply invested in the Midland community and its future, and Michael remains dedicated to ensuring that Midland thrives for generations to come.

Michael will ensure that our teachers have the resources, training, and support they need to thrive in the classroom. This includes competitive salaries and professional development opportunities. By investing in our teachers, we are investing in the future of our students.
Restoring Fiscal Transparency and Accountability
Every dollar we spend was earned through the hard work of Midlanders. The taxpayers of Midland trust the board to use their money efficiently and effectively. Every plan and initiative must be evaluated to ensure it is for the benefit of all students and the future of education in our community. It is vital that we regain the trust of Midland citizens through transparency and accountability.
